30% of Sri Lankan Lands are in Risk of Flood

From 65,000 Square Kilo Meters of Sri Lankan lands, 20,000 Square Kilo Meters lands are at a risk of flood. It means out of whole Sri Lankan lands 30% are at a risk including following Districts.

  • Badhulla
  • Nuwaraelliya
  • Kagalle
  • Ratnapura
  • Kandy
  • Kalutara
  • Mathale
  • Galle
  • Hambantota

Constucting buildings without guidance of engineers, Unusual activities done by sri lankan's have been the main two reasons behind this. Which means 80% of the floods have caused because of the sri lankan people.

98% of the Sri Lankan population are educated. But why Sri Lankan people have become the main reason to make their own country at a high level risk?
